In response to increasing demand from regular clients, I’m now able to offer something
truly different in terms of BOAT FISHING. I’ve teamed up with one of the best professional
skippers in Cornwall to offer an exclusive boat fishing experience. Although the
38 foot, state of the art boat can take up to 12 anglers, we are taking smaller groups
of 2 to 6 people to give maximum space and flexibility on board. We will offer a
truly unique mix of fly, spin, drop-shot and bait fishing both in the estuary, around
the coast and way out to sea.
These days (or half-days) are not nearly so tide-dependant and we can be completely
relaxed about booking dates. We can also ‘customise ‘these boat days for yourself
or your friends. You may fancy going after specimen Bass with live Launce that you’ve
caught yourself, or you may prefer to look for some really big Pollack around the
reefs. At the other end of the scale, if you haven’t caught a Garfish on a 9 foot
five weight, or tried up-tiding with sandeel on a floating line, you haven’t really
lived! The fishing is endlessly variable and massive fun.
A long time ago I was responsible for pioneering the ‘Light line philosophy’ in
stillwater flyfishing. I’m now doing the same on saltwater. A day like this will
re-define your impression of sea fishing from a boat, so if you fancy something really
special, give me a call for more details!
On all our boat days, don’t be put off if you don’t possess all the gear. Obviously
you’re welcome to bring you own, but remember that you can always use ours.
Chris Ogborne can be booked as your guide for fishing, walking or bird watching.
He will show you the ‘secret’ Cornwall amongst the moors and valleys, take you birding
along the cliffs, or introduce you to flyfishing in the ocean, the beaches or the
Camel estuary. Saltwater flyfishing is subtle, delicate art and Chris will steer
you through the intricacies and show you his favourite spots, sharing two generations
of local knowledge.
All guiding bookings are on the ‘full day’ basis, from £250. This minimum fee is
for two rods (so you pay a minimum £125 each) and includes your guiding, transport,
lunch and drinks. The timing of your day will be variable, according to tides, weather
and time of year.
Food can be geared entirely to your needs and will range from a Champagne breakfast
through to packed lunches, BBQ, or a full dinner party. Fresh West Country seafood
is second to none and a lobster or bass on the BBQ can make for the perfect end to
the perfect day.
Chris has many years of experience in the wine trade and will always be able to find
that unusual or special bottle to compliment the gourmet food.
These can include any or all of the above, tailor made to client requirements.
We have over fifteen years of experience in Corporate Entertainment and our client
list, which includes many blue chip companies, is an enviable one.
All the fishing tackle you may need can be supplied as part of your package. It comes
from the Internationally famous Hardy or Greys brands and is consequently of the
